Canopy Fabrication

Howells Bradford Ltd specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of superior bespoke kitchen ventilation systems. All systems are built with high quality stainless steel and are manufactured to meet current regulations in order to conform to BS6173/DW172 and ISO9001 Standards. Along with providing new extraction and ventilation systems, Howells Bradford Ltd can also replace individual components and redesign sections of existing systems.

Our canopies and ductwork are designed and manufactured by teams of skilled fabricators, using the latest machinery and techniques. Every extraction and ventilation solution is tailor made to suit the customer's needs and site constraints. Our canopies can be manufactured to any size and shape, custom built to accommodate any building restraints such as low and suspended ceilings, pillars, posts and other obstacles.

We have highly experienced fitters to carry out the installation which includes final commissioning, electrical testing and gas checks by registered Gas Safe fitters.

Every canopy is designed in accordance with DW/172 and constructed from grade 304/430 satin finish stainless steel, complete with grease contained channels. The grease collection system channels grease directly to the grease collection drawers within the filter housing, which can be removed by the kitchen staff for cleaning.

High quality washable stainless steel baffle type grease filters are provided on every system. There is an option of stainless steel vapourproof twin fluorescent recessed light units or bulkhead type lighting within the canopy if required. Fresh air ventilation can be built into the fascia of the canopy or provided as a stand alone system though a kitchen wall or window.

Gas interlock systems are fitted by Gas Safe engineers where gas appliances are in use. This safety requirement automatically cuts off the gas supply should a fault in the system arise.

Carbon filter systems, odour control units, silencers and noise control systems can be added to any new or existing extraction system as required by local authorities or customers.

On installation, kitchen walls can be cladded with hygienic plastic or high grade stainless steel, giving a polished professional finish and a surface that can be easily cleaned and maintained.
